Wellbeing Day 2016

Firstly I would like to say a very big thank you to all those attended the weekend of the 26th June.

It was obviously a day out of normal working life that you all committed to spend further time with your colleagues for the weekend or most part of it.  My take on that is that you all collectively think that you aren’t a bad bunch! I would also like to thank Farrah and her team for the organisation of the event which in the main went extremely well. Even rain was organised at Lunch time only….It is not easy organising so many invites, food requests, T-shirts, Banners, Hotel rooms, coaches, evening venue, Captains, Teams, events on the day, etc, etc. and I am very grateful. On a bit of a negative, although very few, there were a small number of no shows and I know that some of the organisers were disappointed with that. Hopefully with the Feedback received from this event there will be less no shows for future events.

With reference to feedback you were asked to fill in feedback forms and pretty much across the board in true NPS fashion you all scored a very big 10 across the board for Mersea’s “It’s a knockout”, hotel and the evening venue “Out of Office Hours” (pretty much everybody said 10 out of 10). My thanks to Gary for suggesting this venue and also for the team at Out of Office Hours to which I have passed on my thanks.

My own personal reflections on the Wellbeing Day were all very positive. Firstly the effort shown to 1. Dress to impress by some! And 2. The comradery and competitiveness of all those that attended and finally the complete enthusiasm of all of the Ladies that attended. One in particular for smashing me around the face and putting me on my backside… You will have seen the photos of which there are some particular favourites within this Update and all show some very happy faces. This hopefully negated the very tired bodies the following few days! My thanks to Andrew for taking the time out to take these pics. I know that new relationships were built that weekend and that can only help Great Bay/Great You collectively grow as a Company.

Due to the success of the day a lot of people have expressed interest for a Wellbeing Day in the winter. This may be a good time to incorporate a  Xmas do and combine the 2 -  A Wellbeing event in the day followed by an Xmas night out.  We will shortly be asking for a poll of some popular events that you may be interested in – Paintballing, Go Karting etc. Full details and dates will be ready for the Autumn Wellbeing Update. It would be good if we could make this extra special so we will be asking for a £50 a head contribution which can spread at £10 a month out of the next 5 months pay. We also fully understand if this is not for you all.

Finally  and most importantly it would be remiss of me not to thank all the Team Leaders and Teams for all trying so, so, so hard, unfortunately you did come up a little short….So a very well done to The Winning Team of Lisa, Dave, Russell and Adam.

Thanks, Rich

“I thought it was such a nice day and gave us all a chance to bond. We should definitely do this again soon but I will be smarter and wear leggings!

Fantastic.

A great day for Great Bay!”
